Man could these two be any cuter!! Mitch and Kelsey are moving away and wanted to do a photoshoot to commemorate their time here in Omaha. We started out at their lovely home and had a blast trying to round up their 3 dogs for photos. They suggested taking photos in their bedroom, which I was a little nervous about, but luckily Kelsey is a master decorator which made the photos turn out so much better! After that we continued our photoshoot downtown and got the true Omaha experience as we froze our butts off. To get warmed up we visited a local Omaha cafe called Culprit, which serves some amazing breakfast and coffee drinks!
Last week I was contacted by a St. Louis/L.A. based company named Fauxgerty, that needed a photographer for a pop-up shop event they were hosting in downtown Omaha. Fauxgerty, founded by Chrissy Fogerty, is a collection of cruelty-free womenswear focused on sustainability through recycled elements and ethical production using pre-loved vintage, innovative faux leathers and suedes and sustainable materials, like hemp and organic cotton. I had never photographed an event like this and already had a busy day on my calendar, but upon hearing the location was at a coffeeshop (www.beansmith.com) and coffee was complimentary, I immediately agreed to the shoot.
Everyone at the event was so friendly, and it made for such an enjoyable photoshoot! Hope you enjoy the photos, and go check out Fauxgerty's website!
Congratulations Jon! Best of luck to you in your new assignment!!
The best part of photographing dogs is getting attacked by vicious puppy snuggles.
